In the heart of Coral Gables, Tur Kitchen is a daily celebration of the robust food and drink of

the Mediterranean basin, with special emphasis on the French Riviera and coastal Turkey. Executive chef Christian Chirino balances tradition and modern cravings while delivering Instagramworthy presentations across shared plates such as the cauliflower steak with cauliflower tabbouleh and pides (Turkish flat breads) stuffed with unlikely but exciting ingredients. The shrimp pide, for example, is a folded masterpiece overflowing with grilled shrimp coated in salsa verde, cilantro, and lime and laced with mascarpone cheese. Other menu standouts include traditional vichyssoise, the lemony sea bream, and the organic mushrooms entrée: a mélange of hearty, steaklike mushrooms, seasoned and grilled to perfection, and served atop garbanzo beans. Add to this a sleek, contemporary restaurant design, the fervor of an open kitchen, and genuine family-style hospitality, and arrive at an overall winning recipe for Mediterranean magic.
